I know it shouldn't matter and it is not the reason I take photographs but I have to admit that I am disappointed with the lack of views and comments on my submissions.

There seems to a lot of - what I call - candid shots that are basically just a pretty girl locked in a room with her camera and herself that get millions of views. There is no real effort in that. I go out and find locations, determine the correct angle, consider value and compositions, spend time in an editing program and then result in getting - in some cases - absolutely no views.

Are my pictures really that bad? If so, you'd think I would at least get some hate comments. I am left to conclude that I am merely a mediocre photographer. I can live with that. Photography is a hobby of mine and I put a lot more of myself into my poetry.

Therefore, do not take this in as a rant for the sake of seeking attention. I am merely surprised and wonder what I could do to make my pieces for powerful. I wish to learn where my pictures are lacking. I want to become a stronger photographer.
